Some notes: This morning it gave me an interesting feeling to be shaving with a razor that is over 100 years old, like I am somehow connected to that time. (Maybe it was that we just watched some classic B&W Christmas movies!)

And good ol' fumble fingers dropped the loaded brush into the basin of water! But I didn't scream in terror or anger, I just calmly took the dripping brush with its over-hydrated bristles and soap, shook just firmly enough (no use being frustrated with the brush!) and started loading again. And what a nice lather was achieved! It may have had a bit too much water, but it was almost as good as new! This also brought me back in time, but not so far, only 6 years, to when I just started shaving traditionally. Mystic Water was my nemesis! Amazing the difference time and experience give one.

A friend gave me a modern Unmentionable. It is heavy and seems like it's built well. However I didn't expect an outstanding shave like some of my vintage and antique razors give. Well it gave me about what I expected. In the end it was a good finish on the shave with very little irritation. Although it took a heavy hand and 4 passes with LOTS and LOTS of buffing on the last pass. I did manage to get a few very minor weepers in spite of how mild this razor is. Probably do to the excessive buffing and pressure. It's a shame Unmentionable company doesn't make razors like they used to.
At least the vintage Williams lathered very easily with the Zenith Boar brush and the modern Aqua Velva decanted into a vintage glass bottle work great. I also used a splash of Lucky Tiger to tame the light irrigation before the Aqua Velva. The razor is a nice gift but I guess I'm a bit spoiled with  the performance and quality of much older razors.

As smooth as could be, i find this Indian Unmentionable performs as well the 4 times the price USA version, if not smoother, on the higher settings.
A very easy 3 pass shave leaving me with a BBS face feeler.

The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #395 Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Unmentionable Razor with an Unmentionable Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Florida Water Cologne. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I used a Schick, but an unmentionable one, Chistled Face soap and AS, Atomic Rocket brush.
