Williams Wednesday's Cold Water Shave

Cold Water Rinse
Williams Mug Shaving Soap
Jayaruh #217 Synthetic
Gem G-bar
Personna GEM SS PTFE
CWR
Duru Cologne

The Williams Mug Shaving Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #217 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gem G-bar SE Razor and a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Duru Cologne. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Wednesday Morning Walkabout

GEM 1912 came along in a batch lot I bought recently.  First spin so I thought a Carbon blade would be closer to vintage feel.  What a beautiful shave.  Ever Ready Vintage Boar was a great face latherer.

GEM 1912 Knurled Handle
PAL Carbon Steel Blue Blade (1X)
Martin de Candre Nature Soap
Ever Ready H40 Vintage Boar Brush
Apex Alchemy Splash Mix
4711 Kolognewasser

Razor: Dr. Scotts 1896 safety razor
Blade: CVS Carbon
Brush: Ever Ready Boar
Soap: Shulton Old Spice
Post: Dickinson's Witch Hazel
After: Old Spice Original
Notes : My last have with the DR Scotts as I have decided to down size my razor collection. This razor was very unique for its time and is "adjustable" but it is a pain to set up to shave with an modified adapter. It was designed for magnetized wedge blades has no Blade stops just 2 sliding blade blade holders that are held in tension by a square screw on each side

It also has a roller guard. The shave was good but at the second pass it moved on the holders and I didn't realize it and post shave I had some irritation.

Thursday Morning Frolic

Second use on the vintage Valet blade and better results.  Smoothed out a bit and allowed for some Buffing and better ATG work.  A & E lather helped.  Overall a great shave.

Valet AutoStrop VC1
Vintage Valet Blade (2X)
Ariana & Evans Spartacus Soap
Semogue Torga C5 Onyx Brush
Proraso Red Splash
Nostalgia Aftershave
