Lather Catcher Sunday's Cold Water Shave

Cold Water Rinse
Jeeves of Hudson Street Shave Soap
SlimGem 3D Printed Badger
Gem Jr. Bar Lather Catcher
Personna GEM SS PTFE
CWR
Lustray Spice After Shave

The Jeeves of Hudson Street Shave Soap lathered well with SlimGem 3D Printed Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gem Jr. Bar Lather Catcher and a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Lustray Spice After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Sunday Morning Celebration

Second time using the Enders Speed and I'm finding the angle a bit better.  I also moved the blade out a smidge and it made a huge difference.  When you're fiddling in an Injector blade into one of these getting the exposure correct is tricky.

Enders Speed Razor
Personna SS Injector Blade (2X)
Long Handled Boar Brush
Ariana & Evans Peach and Cognac Mix
Citrus Musk Splash On
Varon Dandy Aftershave Spritz

I've had two recent encounters with exceptional customer service. The first was with Maggardrazors.com. I ordered a razor from them. The razor comes in a sealed box so Maggards obviously never saw the razor itself. When I excitedly opened my new razor I discovered that it had several manufacturing defects. I contacted the manufacturer as per the included instructions. Several days past with no response. I then contacted Maggards through email for advice. Brad (the owner) responded very quickly with several options to rectify the issue. After deciding on a return and refund Brad quickly sent me a shipping label for return postage and as soon as the package was registered in the mail system a refund was issued. Brad's communication through the entire process was speedy, understanding and professional. I will definitely be shopping with Maggardrazors.com in the future. They also have a fantastic selection of products.
The second instance was with shavingshopclub.com I ordered a replacement for my favorite shave soap A&E The Novelist, a little before it ran out. When I opened the new tub and tried to lather up the lather just wouldn't build well and what lather did build disintegrated quickly. I contacted the shop through email to see what could be done. There were several emails exchanged and we came to an agreement to have me send my tub back for an exchange for a new tub. Unfortunately there was an unexpected delay in receiving my replacement. When I reached out again to get an update they realized it had never been sent. The owner apologized, refunded my money and offered to send a new tub of the original formula or an upgrade to the new formula. I asked for the new formula. When it arrived I was astonished to find not only the soap but also the aftershave. Let me say this new Ultima formula is spectacular. I will definitely be buying more once it is available.

Both of these companies exhibited excellent in customer service. I hope you will take the time to check them out if you haven't already.

Oh and the shave with the Stoll was fantastic too.

I got up the courage to atempt a head shave with a gem Junior. It was the same stuff I used this morning for the face shave except I used the cremo as a pre-shave and used Arko for the soap. I used the leaf Thorn for trim work. Head shaving with a lather catcher is definitely different. I'm used to a gem 1912, or push button were you just ride the cap you don't have that luxury with a lather Catcher and have to be on top of your Technique. Was a great shave, I only opened up a scab I had from the other day. I can't wait to try some of my other lather catchers for head shaves.

Monday Morning Shaving Shindig

Ninth shave on the Empire with a GEM blade and it was a nice smooth affair.  This is my prettiest Empire as it has retained a lot of the original Silver plating and shine.  Overall an amazing shave.

GEM SS PTFE Blade (9X)
Abbate Y La Mantia Fufluns Soap
PAA Solar Flare Brush
Citrus Musk Splash On

Tuesday Morning Whisker Whittling

Eleventh use on the Kai blade and it delivered a knockout BBS shave.  Vintage ER Boar brush whipped up a nice face lather for two passes and a face wash.  I use this hard puck like a stick and just run it around the face and add water.  Never fails to deliver.

Razorock Hawk V3A Razor
KAI Protouch MG Blade (11X)
Abbate Y La Mantia Blue Tobacco Soap
Ever-Ready H40 Vintage Boar Brush
Proraso Red Splash On
Brut Aftershave
