Today was my first use of the MARS (Modular Adjustable Razor System). I have all 10 insert plates and opted for using insert 6 based on the very limited (as of now) reviews of the razor. My prep consists of just a hot shower and then face lathering the soap selected.
MARS razor; insert #VI
1/2 Astra SP blade
C-MON Deluxe boar brush
Mitchell's Wool Fat soap
Preferred Stock Aftershave
The MARS performed very well. The handle is comfortable in the hand and has texture to provide a good grip, even when wet. My typical 2 pass, WTG & XTG, provided for excellent results. The razor is fairly light and with the #6 insert, efficient. I did have one weeper, but that was the blade catching on a small scar on my chin which happens with most razors. All-in-all a very enjoyable shave with a well thought out and designed razor. I will be using it for the next few shaves to see if the blade/insert combination is able to be improved upon.

Since I was on the initial offering the Razor and all 10 inserts came to $37 to my door from the UK. I believe the next round is possibly going to be a Kickstarter campaign, based on the information on the marsrazor.com website.

Razor: MARS with VI insert
Blade: 1/2 Astra SP
Brush: Smilez for Milez
Soap: Vintage Williams
Aftershave: Aqua Velva Ice Blue
Another close and comfortable shave with the MARS. It is definitely a good shaver and provides a wide variety of inserts for varying the blade gap depending on your preference.
