Single Edge Saturday!
Cold Water Shave
Pre: Neutrogena Soap Face Wash, Noxzema Cream as Pre Shave
Razor: Gem Micromatic Flying Wing/Bullet Tip w/ Guiding Eye
Blade: Gem SS PTFE (4rd Use/Gem Side Down)
Brush: Jayaruh #403 Synthetic
Lather: Col. Conk Bay Rum, Face Lathered
Post: Osma Alum Block, T.N. Dickinson’s Witch Hazel, Aqua Velva Musk After Shave, Nivea Sensitive Balm

A successful three pass shave, no ATG on cheeks. First time face lathering with Jayaruh #403 w/ tuxedo synthetic knot. I think this is going to be a jack of all trades kind of brush. It took a little work loading the brush from the small container, but once I got there it was just a matter of getting enough water in the lather. I had planned to only do two passes, but wanted to practice more face lathering. The third pass lather was rather thin, so it took some scrubbing and water to get there. Nice shave with the bullet-tipped flying wing...and the guiding eye got me home!  Big Grin

Very nice FlyingWing. It is my birth era Gem. Introduced in 1947. I gave up bowl lathering years ago. Load the brush and go straight to the face. I always have plenty of lather to wash out of the brush, too. That 403 takes a bit of force to splay, but that is the way I like it. You can build a good lather in no time.

Lather Catcher Sunday's Shave
[Image: zcws.jpg]

Cold Water Rinse
Mystic Water Cedar & Sage Shave Soap
Jayaruh #144 Finest Badger
Triceratops 3D
Personna GEM SS PTFE
CWR
Cella ASB

Day 7 of 3D Printed Razor Month.

The Mystic Water Cedar & Sage Shave Soap lathered well with Jayaruh #144 Finest Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Triceratops 3D Lather Catcher Razor with a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Cella ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Lather Catcher Sunday!
Cold Water Shave w/ Hot Water Lather
Pre: Neutrogena Soap Face Wash, Noxzema Cream as Pre Shave
Razor: Stoll Chrome Steel Lather Catcher
Blade: Gem SS PTFE (5th Use/Gem Side Up)
Brush: Yaqi Green Obsidian Two Band Badger
Lather: Proraso Red Cream, Face Lathered
Post: Osma Alum Block, Thayers Unscented Witch Hazel, Skin Bracer After Shave, Nivea Sensitive Cooling Balm

A successful two pass shave. Possessing only two lather catchers and observing Lather Catcher Sunday means I use the Stoll Chrome Steel lather catcher every 14 days. It's like exam day, seeing how my skill has progressed or otherwise. With no top cap to ride, it is all blade feel. I don't think I can yet say I've had a smooth shave with it. However, today I can say I drew no blood...so at least a passing grade!  Big Grin

The sun was out today and felt good on my face. We're going up to the low-mid 70s the next four days. Sounds like good weather to rake up some leaves and pine straw. Have a great week everyone!

After some advice from Toby C and reading some of the post he linked plus this one   http://forum.shavemyface.com/viewtopic.p...mega+31064 which was linked inside that thread I had way better luck try my RazoRock boar with Tabac today. I used an unmentionable which was inspired buy a recent acquisition of SQRShaver. It's a mild but effective enough razor and I ended up with a very comfortable very adequate shave. So thanks Toby C
