Nice shave with this French SE.
Oooooo. I like that mod. I want a head similar to that for my Durham that I modified to be a single edge. I prefer the width of an injector to the width of an AC. Whenever I shave with an AC I feel like I'm plowing my driveway with the front end loaders they use on a runway at the airport. ME three Very cool Tom

I have another French razor that takes the same blade. It is literally the same as an injector size wise. Just has the 2 holes instead of slots. I made a jig that punches the holes accurately.
Ahhh. So the blade is modified but the razor is in original condition. I thought it was a SHaDE.

Correct that is how it is made. Look up Prima razor. That takes the same blade. Double sided blade on SE razor.

In the name of science I did this morning and got a gloriously smooth shave. I may be off my rocker......................well that's a given but it felt smooth to me than the Gem SS. Nice option for the MM I'll remember. Have a terrific day everyone !
We are all a little throwed around here,,..

Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 1129
Well the razor from Hungary arrived and I had to have it since it was manufactured by the Company name of my favorite blades (Unmentionable) This baby has some blade feel but a smooth shaver. I knew after the first 2 strokes that this was going to be a good shave. Don't get me wrong, she will bite if not careful but maintain the angle and correct light pressure and a glass smooth shave is the reward. I didn't know when I got it that it's aluminum but so happy to have it in the den now. The Stirling Oro Valley is inspired by Tom Ford Ombre Leather. At nearly $100 an ounce for the EDP I think I will go with an alternative cologne but enjoy this soap for sure. Here is the scent description from the Stirling site:
Scent Description
A masculine blend of rich leather, warm spices, amber, and a touch of earthiness. With notes of cardamom, leather, jasmine sambac, amber, moss, and patchouli, this scent is a great addition to almost any collection. Inspired by Tom Ford's Ombre Leather
Very enjoyable and typical Stirling quality performance. Have a swell day !

GEM Flying Wing
Personna GEM (7) Friday, (2) Saturday, through the magic of blade changing!
Ending up a week of Mike's unscented. Love this soap for its slickness.
The shave was just a bit too tuggy at the end, so binned the blade and pulled one out from the Sabre. I am again impressed, even with the tugginess, with how close the Flying Wing gets without blade feel! To quote a fast food chain, I'm Lovin' It!

Friday's Shave
Cold Water Rinse
Musgo Real Shave Soap
Jayaruh #423 2-band Badger
47 Unmentionable Razor
Unmentionable Blade
CWR
Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Pinaud Citrus Musk EDC
The Musgo Real Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #423 2-band Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the 47 Unmentionable Razor with an Unmentionable Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Pinaud Citrus Musk EDC. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
