It's not hard to load them into an empty Schick injector magazine. You just need a small screwdriver or something to depress the follower..

![]() Williams Wednesday! DEcemBoar! Cold Water Shave w/ Hot Water Lather Pre - Aloe Vera Glycerin Soap Face Wash, Noxzema Cream as Pre Shave Razor - Unmentionable (German) Blade: Unmentionable (3rd Use) Brush - Omega 66 Boar Lather - Modern Williams Mug Shave Soap, Face Lathered Post - Generic Reformed Alum Block, T.N. Dickinson’s Witch Hazel, Aqua Velva Ice Sport, Nivea Sensitive Balm The Williams I loaded to my brush just about held out for a solid two-pass shave. The Omega 66 boar did a fine job face lathering, squeezing the last of the lather out for the second pass. As I move through my Big Guy non-adjustable Chubby Checker unmentionables, I selected an order that I assumed would be from least efficient to most efficient. It's not a surprise that my assumption is turning into fact. Also, generally the weight is increasing as well. The smoothness of the shave also seems to be improving. Tomorrow will be the last of the four and then I will repeat the cycle. I recently picked up the Aqua Velva Ice Sport at an Ingles grocery store. This is the same place I found the Williams soap. Surprisingly they also carry the 6oz size of the classic Clubman Pinaud A/S. It's a shame that these items are getting harder to buy locally!

I used vintage Williams Mug soap for the first time today. It was also my first use of Lucky Tiger aftershave. Both products performed perfectly. The 1909 Ever-Ready also performed great with a Gem SS PTFE on its 12th use.

I've only got one dispenser of the Personnas and at some point will need to figure out what to buy next. I look forward to hearing how many shaves you can get out of one. Honestly, the next logical purchase to me is a 7 blade dispenser of the Chinese Schicks that come in the yellow package. They are arguable the best in-production blade at the moment and reasonably priced if you buy them right. Other than those, maybe something vintage. I missed out on an auction for 59 vintage blades that would have been somewhere around $0.22 per blade which is an excellent price. The Schick adjustable are great shavers. They had been pretty affordable but the prices seem to be creeping upward for some reason. That seems to be true of all shaving gear for some reason. Anyway, the adjustability works so well, with 1 being almost no blade whatsoever up to 9ish providing a good bit of blade feel while still feeling safe. I actually shave in reverse to what I normally would with an unmentionable adjustable where I'd decrease with each pass. With the Schick, I start at 5 for WTG, 7 for XTG and/or ATG. I then will open it all the way for touchups if needed. I hope you get to try one someday. think you'd really enjoy it. I got mine off ye olde auction site for about $25 with a case. Turns out it had never been used. It still had the blank blade that they shipped with. Definitely, one of my most exciting purchases to end up getting a NOS razor. How many do you normally get out of one of those blades? And do you find that the razor you use makes any difference in blade longevity?

srqshaver. It's a Gem head with a handle from my Treet. Not sure if the red was available on a Gem originally. The Gem and my Star both came with black handles but they are not identical. The Baton handles are some of my favorites. I don't remember if you have one. I average 8 to 13 or so shaves with a Gem SS PTFE.

Hey, Eric srqshaver, don't forget that Greg wears a beard...he only shaves the easy parts! ![]() PS...sorry about that Greg...I just couldn't resist! BTW...you know I love the baton handle as well! Also I do shave the back of my neck and shape the upper beard line on my cheeks as well so probably the same surface area as a face and front of the neck shave. Using two mirrors to shave the back of my neck can be tricky. Especially when I'm using the mid 1800s variety of unmentionable.

Yeah, I remember you saying about your neck being your trouble spot. Though, with the beard, do you think you put as much wear on a blade doing a pass vs. an average person shaving their entire face? Of course, who knows what average means anyway! I'm to the point now with the Gem PTFE blades that I get to 10 shaves and then move on. Lately, I've been doing a two-pass shave, with the second pass including some touch ups.
