I have not tried the L2 Jim, the L1 suits me fine so never really felt the need, apparently there is not a lot in it though. Sorry i could not help further, i am pretty sure riverrun is running both the L1 & 2 at presnt.

I went with the British Pal Injectomatic today. I think it's time to swap the blade out. Still a good shave though. 
Williams and a Boar brush are hard to beat especially when followed by a little Thayers and Aqua Velva.
