A nice early morning shave while the house was quiet. This Italian Unmentionable SE is a wonderful little tool, today with the Wizamet half-blade on its 6th outing worked well with the blade just starting to go off on the final strokes, struggling a little on the tougher chin stubble.
2 Passes WTG then a mixed XTG/ATG pass has left me smooth and unmarked.
Yes, i did enjoy that.
Stay safe and enjoy your day all.

Lather Catcher Sunday's Shave
[Image: zcws.jpg]

Cold Water Rinse
Palmolive Shave Cream
Jayaruh #41 Two-band badger
Ever-Ready Lather Catcher
Personna GEM SS PTFE
CWR
Aqua Velva Musk AS

The Palmolive Shave Cream lathered well with the Jayaruh #41 Two-band Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Ever-Ready Lather Catcher Razor with a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Aqua Velva Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

This was almost the set up this morning, but will be for the upcoming week! This morning saw the last use of the Ethos Clean, which is now done and dusted!

Blackland Sabre
Personna GEM
House of Mammoth Z
Brushes alternating between the JR#431 with a boar knot and the Trotter Supernova with a mixed knot.
The amber Type G made a guest pass this morning to see if I fixed the blade rattle (see my post under injector forum). It did. But the head is not bent at the right angle as other Schick razors, so I need to adjust that next.

This is what is left after this morning's shave. I had to go back twice to get more soap on the brush, but man, that Jayaruh brush is nice in the hand and the knot felt good on the face with only one test lather! Those Maggard premium boar knots are fantastic.

Razor: Above the Tie G1 V1.5 Single Edge Razor
Blade: Personna GEM PTFE Stainless Steel Blade
Brush: Rubberset 203 in Super Badger
Pre-Shave: Proraso White
Lather: Caswell-Massey Newport
Aftershave: Pinaud Lilac Vegetal
Additional Care:
Thayers Facial Tonic Witch Hazel Rose Petal
  Imperial Leather Talcum Powder

This morning I learned a couple of things.  First, this cream lathers way better with a badger brush versus the synthetic I usually pair with it.  Who knew? Second, the ATT G1.  With a bit of extra effort I came off with a decent shave, but now I know why it has a reputation for being too mild.  If you treat this razor like any other Gem and put the cap to your skin it's not going to cut well.   I discovered towards the end of my shave that the angle must be more like an unmentionable.  Since tomorrow is Gem Monday I will pick this up again on Tuesday.
