I made it from rescued parts from several broken razors. The guard bar is worn quite a bit and it seems a bit more aggressive than my regular Clog-pruf peerless.

I want to know what parts and what several broken donor razors make up your Frankensteined Gem Micromatic.

I received a bunch of damaged razors to use in making someone a couple of handles like the one I made for you. Most had badly dented top caps some had damaged guard bars or broken Open comb teeth. Included were a Micromatic Flying Wing aka Bullet Tip and a Clog-pruf Peerless. The person who sent them to me said I could keep all the extra stuff so I carefully disassembled them and put the good but worn baseplate from the Clog-pruf peerless on to the Bullet tip handle with a guiding eye top cap. I don't think the the top cap was from the same razor as the handle. These razors aren't exactly easy to disassemble and are even more difficult to reassemble. So anyway, this razor is now a Micromatic Bullet Tip Clog-pruf Peerless with Guiding Eye. Or Micromatic Flying Wing Clog-Pruf with Guiding Eye. Or something like that. I need to figure out a proper name and stick with it. Eventually I hope to find damaged donors razors to put together a Micromatic Open Comb Bullet Tip. I have spares of the two razors needed but would rather take parts from ones that are already damaged. And I believe I already have a good Open Comb base plate from a previous project. I'd have to check my parts bin.

Very interesting. I have a MMOC with no bumps that did not work smoothly and would stick. I have not had the confidence to disassemble it though. I have used ultra sonic bath and 3 in 1 oil and was able to improve the workings, but I don't think I can do better without dissembling.
I have a Damaskeene OC plate that I topped off with a different cap. It also sports a not original handle. But, it is now a very serviceable Damaskeene OC Franken Razor.

Williams Wednesday's Cold Water Shave

Cold Water Rinse
Williams Mug Shaving Soap
Jayaruh #199
Enders Speed Shaver
Schick Proline B-20 Injector Blade
CWR
Pinaud Citrus Musk Cologne

The Williams Mug Shaving Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #199 synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Enders Speed Shaver and the Schick Proline B-20 Injector Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Citrus Musk Cologne. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
