Thursday's Cold Water Shave

Cold Water Rinse
Mitchel's Wool Fat Shave Soap
Jayaruh #340 Badger
Rolls Traveler Razor
'47 Rolls Wedge
CWR
Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Florida Water

The Mitchel's Wool Fat Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #340 Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the 1907 Gem Jr. Lather Catcher and a '47 Rolls Wedge Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Dickinson's Witch Hazel and then Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

This was the last shave with the Rolls this week. It did a great job for a 76 year old blade.

Saturday Morning Scrape

Fourth shave on the VC2 and I increased the blade exposure a smidge more - brought it down in line with the blade stops a bit better - these Auto Strops take a bit of getting used to and this shave was superb. Even though they use the same blades as the ER and Gem razors, the angles a definitely different.

My First Lather Catcher SUNDAY

I picked a Carbon Steel Blade for the first time as a tribute to the original feel.  WOW - what a different type of shave and feel.  Against the Grain and Across was a bit of challenge but after Dry Down it ended up being a close and marvelous shave.  Next time we'll try the PTFE blades.

EverReady Lather Catcher (1907ish)
PAL Carbon Blue Blade (1X)
Martin de Candre Argumes Soap Sample
Simpson Trafalgar T2 Brush
Myrsol Agua di Limon Splash
Bleu de Chanel Aftershave Balma
