Thursday Morning Vintage Hullabaloo
Received a few new Razors in the mail yesterday and lo and behold several Vintage but unused (like new) Valet SS Blades (Gillette co-branded). So I popped one in this morning and WHAM - a great shave.
Very similar to a modern Carbon blade but a bit toothier. Overall a fantastic result.

Shave 70 with the Bunny V2.2 and 58 with the Personna 74 loaded. I think the blade is nearing the end of its usability. I'm going to try to get to 74 shaves on the blade though.

Not a VC1, the VCI has the friction plate for inserting the blade. No swing open door, no key for the proprietary blade cutouts.
Can't see the details but it looks like a VC2, it's definitely a VC2 if it has swing open door and the solid bar for the strop guide in the back. The VB2 has the roller for the strop guide.
Was there a Stainless Blade ever made by Valet? Never heard of it. I thought Feather made the only stainless blade to fit the Autostrops requiring the blade cutouts.

Ok - yeah I should have known it was a VC2. The blade said "Rustless" which I took as Stainless. I mean it looks pretty damn good for the age. If it was Carbon I would think t would look worse for the wear. Although it did feel like a Carbon during the shave.

Friday's Cold Water Shave
Cold Water Rinse
Derby Shave Soap Stick
Jayaruh #2 Badger
Gem Flying Wing
Personna GEM SS PTFE
CWR
Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Lilac Vegetal
The Derby Shave Soap Stick lathered well with the Jayaruh #2 Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gem Flying Wing and Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Dickinson's Witch Hazel and then Lilac Vegetal. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Nice. But not!
IMHO, It's a razor with two SE blades.
Similar to Schick Twin Injector blade.

It looks like a cartridge razor to me!
