A new handle for an old razor.

G, and the spring has square corners at the top.

Boar brushes, brass razors, and hard pucks ARE traditional wet shaving. Everything else is modern day fluff for the girly men.

Wow! That is some amazing work. Glad the head went to a good home as it was just laying around here. As to I.D...it did have a little piece of white or cream handle on it originally, but it was melted like it was put in an oven.

Two patent numbers on the head - it's a Type G.

Without the original handle, I'll not even attempt to guess which one.

Beautiful job!

G doesn't have side flaps.
Good point.
But the E-Type only has one patent number.
What's halfway between E and G?
Where are the experts when you need them?
BBS across the street should have a look.

'45~'46 transition model, using E spring on G razor, using up parts.

What are the words on the spring around the rivet?

It says Shick Injector.

First use of this re-handled Schick still not sure if it's a late E or a G. Either way it shaved great. I will have to do a comparison shave with ones I know to be a G and an E soon.

I made the handle slightly longer than the ones on my other E or Gs and it feels wonderful. Although if I make another I think I will go a bit bigger yet.

Interesting. I sure appreciate it whatever it is. And thank you for the compliment. I'm glad you approve of what I did with it.

That's what I thought, but couldn't see it well enough, I'm gonna stick with '45~'46 transition model, using E spring on G razor, but it has a nice handle and it doesn't live in the landfill, that's what matters! Wink
