From Wikipedia "Dragon's blood is a bright red resin which is obtained from different species of a number of distinct plant genera: Croton, Dracaena, Daemonorops, Calamus rotang and Pterocarpus. The red resin has been in continuous use since ancient times as varnish, medicine, incense, and dye."
I pick up a little vanilla, some earthy spices and a bit of coco in the scent. I'm hoping I can nail down the lathering on this soap because it has great scent a d pretty good slickness. Sounds nice. It seems that a lot of the little soap makers that have popped up are doing a good job of things.
Yeah the friend who made it mostly makes bath soaps and lotions. This is her first attempt at shaving soap. Hopefully I can nail down the lathering on this one.

I had a super comfortable shave with the Henckels Rapides today. Well once I switched out the Pal blue carbon I started with for a 5th use Gem SS PTFE. I know some people love the carbon blades but they just don't do it for me.
I'm continuing to use the Dragon's Blood soap a friend made me. The lather was better today. I used the Puck directly on wet skin an then face lathered. I also experimented a little with making a bowl lather with the soap and which hazel instead of water. The results were interesting but that would get expensive to do often.
