So who built it I wonder. Is the name actually with JB Williams?

I have found enough info to satisfy me that it was produced by or for JB Williams in the 30's. It was made for a cash strapped depression era when Williams needed to get some inexpensive, maybe even give away, razors in the hands of users to sell soap.

It looks crude, however it is really a very simple, but elegant design.

I also found the patent but we really shouldn't be discussing an unmentionable here  Tongue
Interesting that the patent shows a unmentionable as well as a Single Edge model as the patent was on the clamping design for the most part.

Why two, what happens with just one?
Boar brushes, brass razors, and hard pucks ARE traditional wet shaving. Everything else is modern day fluff for the girly men.

Never checked. Those that had it already had done it. When I got mine I did it assuming it gave the thickness that older blades when this was produced had. I guess I could try but the shaves are so good this way I never experimented.

These are SE razors. Try to curb your brick enthusiasm to when it's warranted  Tom Tongue

So all I can figure is the fact that I used a photo from the seller and it had an unmentionable in it. I did not reference the unmentionable and it was the only photo available for me. If we're going to be this petty and childish that's fine. Perhaps the mods/owner would do well to spend some of their policing time and spell out all the rules in a sticky for new members instead of expecting them to figure it all out on their own. I fixed the photo if that was my infraction. Dave walks away shaking his head........
