I guess that's a matter of opinion. The factory blade, or what I assume is the factory blade, overhangs the guard. When it's like this it pushed the blade fairly hard into the face. I have good technique and can shave with just about any razor I pickup but I found this very harsh. Essentially open blade. I found it much more comfortable and still efficient to put about half the blade lined up with the front edge of the topcap.

Razor: Penn (Non-Adjustble)
Blade: Schick B20 Injector (1)
Brush: Trotter Handcraft Scoville/Synbad
Soap: Stirling Blood on Steel
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Aqua Velva
Fragrance: Guerlain Vetiver
Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 933

I have a Penn Adjustable coming that I may or may not be able to get a modern blade to work in from reading about them but this Non-Adjustable model is easy to set an Injector blade at your desired level of aggression. I noted the angle was a challenge for some areas to get for example the wtg (North to south) close under my nose but subsequent passes in other directions took care of any stubble. Got a nice close shave and would consider this a mild shaver if paying attention. Maintaining the proper angle allows you to buff and do multiple passes to clear the stubble and end with stellar results. I thank kyle3rv for his enabling me and bringing this razor to my attention. Another win for a Vintage razor that can be used today with modern blades and a nod to my Birth State of Pennsylvania. Have a great day Everyone !
Awesome. I posted in toast about witch safety razors working with gem blades with an easy mod. You should grab one if you don't have it. Gives a fantastic lather catcher like shave.

Somehow missed this, my apologies. Got a link to the post?

Thanks, now I remember reading this. Brain failures getting more frequent......

So, who's disabled now?!!!
Boar brushes, brass razors, and hard pucks ARE traditional wet shaving. Everything else is modern day fluff for the girly men.
