I went camping for a few days and am playing catch up. This is my most recent shave. I forget what day it was.
Ever-Ready lather catcher on a custom acrylic handle I made. As always the Zenith boar brush worked fantastically. And the Proraso lathered up very well.

3 passes and some touch up due to the blade going off, i decided to finish the shave with it anyway.

NICE, How are you liking the MK-1 ?
The shave was great, but I have to shim the blade to keep the cap firmly in place. I didn't find it any better than the Mark II. I'm not interested in trying two blades in them, if one edge won't do it there is something not right!

I don't tell people what to do. Do what you want. I was hesitant to use 2 blades but you can't even tell when you do and are shaving. I wouldn't say something isn't right with it as the 2 blades is probably closer to the thickness of the blades in it's day. I find the MK-1 more blade feel than the MK-2. Glad you are enjoying it, Cheers !

I'm sorry, I was not making myself clear. You are absolutely correct about the blades being thicker! I was alluding to multi-bladed unmentionables. Have a geat weekend, Dave.

Inspired by several recent posts by @infernalinternal on Instagram and his awesome 1924 with a Micromatic handle. I purchased 2 damaged Micromatic razors to scavenge handles from. I drilled and tapped them with an internal thread that allows the use of an adapter screw I make. This makes it possible to use the handles with nearly every razor head I have that has a removable handle.
